DEAP Limited – Next Steps 2 Angus

Awarded a Young Start Award from The National Lottery Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund, Scotland Chair, Kate Still, said: “We’re thrilled to have been able to fund such innovative and inspiring groups through Young Start once again. The skills, confidence and knowledge the thousands of young people will gain through taking part in these projects will be invaluable in building brighter futures with more opportunities.

“We are always keen to support projects which put Scotland’s young people at the heart of the development and running of services. If your group has an idea how you would make this happen, then we’d love to hear from you.”

DEAP’s Managing Director Mary Hamilton said ‘We’re delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Young Start award from The National Lottery Community Fund for our Next Steps 2 Project in Angus.

This funding will enable the project to run for a further two years and enable the Young people of Angus, in the 16 – 25 age group, to identify and address personal and social issues and develop skills through designing and delivering workshops, social events, consultations and volunteering.

Through co-production young people will have the opportunity to have their say, highlighting and influencing change on issues that matter to them and the communities in which they live.

Our Office is based at The Cross in Forfar, where you can contact our dedicated staff for further information.
