Next Steps 2 is a project that creates opportunities for young people in Arbroath, Montrose and Forfar to be fully connected in their communities. We want individuals to have greater access to engage in positive activities that will help them develop, and become active and valuable members of their community. Young people will learn new skills and assist with key activates including consultation on issues related to youth and impacting young people and the broader community.

Employability Fund
The Employability Fund is for unemployed individuals aged 16 and over who wish to gain the skills, qualifications and experience necessary to secure employment. No formal qualifications are required to take part in the training programme. However, a full assessment interview will be completed prior to starting to ensure this is the right training opportunity for you.
Stage 4 – you will improve your employability skills and be placed with an employer (from our large portfolio of local employers) who can provide job opportunities if the placement is successful. Progression at this stage will be into employment, modern apprenticeship, further education or training.
Additional Information
Dependent on your needs, you will have access to SQA/SCQF qualifications and other accredited training courses and work experience.
Our program is flexible and can range from 8 up to a maximum of 13 weeks on program, and attendance will be between 15 and 30 hours per week.
Depending on your individual circumstances you may be eligible for a Young Person’s Training Allowance of £55 per week and travel expenses.
