Employability Fund

The Employability Fund supports unemployed young people who are keen to learn new skills and gain qualifications that will help them gain and sustain employment.

The provision is flexible and can include a range of training opportunities, both in centre and work based with an employer. DEAP will support you to identify and secure a suitable work placement that suits your skills and aspirations.

Depending on your age and the stage of the service you enter at, you will be expected to attend for a number of hours/days per week for the duration of the training, for which you will be paid an allowance, as well as travel expenses to attend the centre or work placement.

You will have the opportunity to work towards a range of SQA qualifications, employability modules and online courses, covering subjects such as CV and cover letter writing, interview skillsĀ andĀ customer service.

Getting involved in the scheme will help you on the path to further education, training and employment.

We look forward to hearing from you.
