Having spent 22 years in the armed forces, I got a job (only after improving my golf handicap) for a small training company in Dundee called Instep Initiatives, running a programme centre for the unemployed in Perth. I enjoyed that line of work very much and was one of the reasons that I applied for the job I am currently doing. Prior to this job I worked as a customer care officer for G4S Securities in Arbroath Jobcentre Plus. There I learnt a good deal about the various benefits available to the jobcentres customers. I built a good rapport with most of the customers and helped them with their questions and problems that the system would allow, this has made my role as a Support Officer with DEAP Ltd more satisfying because many of our clients are jobcentre customers.
